Itinerary

Day 1 – Saturday, July 5 | Flight from Winnipeg to Halifax, Nova Scotia 

Assembly at 2:00 PM in Winnipeg Richardson International Airport for our 3:45 PM flight to Halifax. 

9:15 PM: Arrive at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Transfer to the hotel for check-in and rest. 

Day 2 – Sunday, July 6 | Exploring Halifax 

Begin our adventure in Halifax, the charming capital of Nova Scotia, steeped in maritime history and culture. 

After breakfast  we will attend the Holy Mass at St. Mary’s Basilica, ( 5221 Spring Garden Rd, Halifax, NS B3J 1Z3) a stunning neo-Gothic cathedral and spiritual landmark. 

After the Mass we will explore Halifax’s cultural and historical treasures: 

Highlights in Halifax: 

  • Peggy’s Cove: Admire the iconic lighthouse and rugged Atlantic shoreline. 
  • Lunenburg (UNESCO World Heritage Site): Stroll through a beautifully preserved 18th-century fishing village. We eat our lunch at Lunenburg. 
  • Halifax Citadel: Relive the city’s military past at this historic fortress. 
  • Pier 21: Discover the stories of immigrants who shaped Canada’s multicultural heritage. 
  • Halifax Waterfront: Enjoy the vibrant boardwalk lined with shops, eateries, and local attractions. 

We will have dinner at the Halifax Waterfront before returning to the hotel for a restful night. 

Day 3 – Monday, July 7 | Halifax → Charlottetown → Moncton 

After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and head to Charlottetown crossing the Confederation Bridge, the “Birthplace of Confederation.” 

Highlights in Charlottetown: 

  • Province House: Explore the historic site where Canada’s union began. 
  • Victoria Row: Stroll this charming pedestrian street with boutiques and cafés. 
  • St. Dunstan’s Basilica: Admire the grandeur of this iconic church. 

We eat lunch at Royalty Crossing in Charlottetown. (670 University Ave, Charlottetown, PE C1E 1H6) 

Late in the afternoon we travel to Moncton, New Brunswick.  

We will take our supper at CF Champlain located in Dieppe (477 Paul St, Dieppe, NB E1A 4X5) 

Then we check-in our hotel for a relaxing evening, free time.  

Day 4 – Tuesday, July 8 | Moncton → Quebec City 

After breakfast we will embark on a scenic drive to Quebec City, Passing Fredericton the capital of New Brunswick. 

We will stop for lunch at Centre commercial Rivière-du-Loup. (298 Bd Armand-Thériault, Rivière-du-Loup, QC G5R 4C2) 

Upon arriving in Quebec City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with old-world charm, we will go straight to Les Galeries de la Capitale, ( 5401 Bd des Galeries, Québec, QC G2K 1N4 ) for our dinner followed by free time to shop or relax. 

Check in to our hotel and free time to explore the city at your own pace. 

Day 5 – Wednesday, July 9 | Quebec City → Montreal 

After breakfast we begin the day with spiritual and cultural exploration: 

Highlight in Quebec City: 

  • St. Anne de Beaupré Basilica: Reflect in this awe-inspiring pilgrimage site. 
  • Old Quebec: Wander cobblestone streets, discover European-inspired architecture, and soak in the history of Canada’s oldest city. We will eat our lunch in Old Quebec. 

We take lunch at Old Quebec. 

At late afternoon we travel to Montreal, the bustling cultural heart of Quebec. 

We will have our supper at CF Carrefour Laval. (3003 Boul. le Carrefour, Laval, QC H7T 1C7) 

After supper we proceed to Notre Dame Basilica to watch the Light Show, the AURA Experience at the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal. 

Check in to our hotel and free time to explore the city at your own pace. 

Day 6 – Thursday, July 10 | Montreal → Winnipeg 

After breakfast we will tour around Montreal’s top landmarks. 

Highlights in Montreal: 

  • St. Joseph’s Oratory: Attend Mass and marvel at this magnificent basilica overlooking the city. 
  • Mount Royal Park: Take in stunning panoramic views of Montreal’s skyline. 
  • Mary Queen of the World Cathedral: Visit this stunning Catholic cathedral inspired by St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. 

We will eat lunch at Complexe Desjardins. (150 Saint-Catherine St W, Montreal, Quebec H2X 3Y2) 

 Around 1 PM we will leave Montreal and board the plane at 3:15 PM for our flight back to Winnipeg, arriving at 5:30 PM.
