Itinerary
DAY 01 – Oct 14 (MON) – WINNIPEG / Departure
Depart Winnipeg via Montreal to Lisbon, Portugal.
DAY 02 – OCT 15 (TUE) – LISBON / FATIMA
Arrival at Lisbon airport. Meeting with our English-speaking Tour Escort and transfer to the center of the city where we’ll have a visit (with local guide) including the Bairro de Alfama, Belem Tower and the Jeronimos Monastery (all external visits). Transfer to Fatima. Buffet Dinner and overnight in the hotel (Steyler Fatima Hotel Congress & Spa).
DAY 03 – OCT 16 (WED) – FATIMA
Full breakfast at the hotel. Free day for religious activities in Fatima where in 1917 Our Lady appeared 6 times to three children (Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco). In the evening we can participate in the Candlelight Procession. Buffet Dinner and overnight in hotel (Steyler Fatima Hotel Congress & Spa).
DAY 04 – OCT 17 (THU) – FATIMA / AVILA
Full breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Avila. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel (Palacio de los Velada).
DAY 05 – OCT 18 (FRI) – AVILA / MADRID
Full breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Avila (with local guide), perhaps the best-preserved walled city in the world and home of Saint Teresa of Avila, including the Cathedral (entrance included). In the afternoon, transfer to Madrid. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel (Elba Madrid Alcala).
DAY 06 – OCT 19 (SAT) – MADRID
Full breakfast at the hotel. Today we will visit (with local guide) the main touristic sites of the Spanish capital, including Gran Vía, Plaza de España, Viaducto, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Toros, Plaza de Independencia, Plaza Cibeles, the University and the Paseo de la Castellana. Half day free time. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel (Elba Madrid Alcala).
DAY 07 – OCT 20 (SUN) – MADRID / ZARAGOZA / BARCELONA
Full breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Barcelona with a stop in Zaragoza, where we’ll visit (with our Tour Escort) the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. Arrival in Barcelona for dinner and overnight in the hotel (Barcelona Princess).
DAY 08 – OCT 21 (MON) – BARCELONA
Full breakfast at the hotel. Today we’ll have a panoramic city tour (with local guide) of the city including Basilica of Sagrada Familia (entrance included), Gothic Quarter and the famous boulevard las Ramblas, one of the most lively and visited avenues in Europe, full of bars and shops. Free time. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel (Barcelona Princess).
DAY 09 – OCT 22 (TUE) – BARCELONA / LOURDES
Full breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Lourdes. Arrival and dinner in the hotel. In the evening, we can take part in the Candlelight Procession. Overnight in the hotel (Hotel Paradis).
DAY 10 – OCT 23 (WED) – LOURDES
Full breakfast at the hotel. Day dedicated to the visit (with local guide) of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes: the Basilica, the Crypt, the Apparition Grotto, the Healing Baths, the Esplanade, the family home of Bernadette Soubirous “the Boly Mill”, where it is possible to view at the ground floor the room where Bernadette was born. In the evening, we can take part in the Candlelight Procession again. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel (Hotel Paradis).
DAY 11 – OCT 24 (THU) – LOURDES / PARIS (TGV train)
Full breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the station to take the TGV train (ticket included) to Paris. Arrival and transfer to the hotel (Mercure Paris La Defense 5) for dinner and overnight.
DAY 12 – OCT 25 (FRI) – PARIS
Full breakfast at the hotel. Full-day panoramic city tour (with local guide): we will visit the Sacre Coeur Basilica, Chapel of the Miraculous Medal, Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Elisée, the Triumph Arch, the Opera, Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel (Mercure Paris La Defense 5).
DAY 13 – OCT 26 (SAT) – PARIS / DEPARTURE
Full breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Flight back to Winnipeg.
