Mount Rushmore is a historic and iconic monument located in the Black Hills of South Dakota, USA. It features the colossal sculptures of four U.S. presidents carved into the granite face of the mountain: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.

Yellowstone National Park is a vast, primarily wilderness park located in the western United States, mainly in the states of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Yellowstone is renowned for its geothermal features, including geysers (such as Old Faithful), hot springs, and mud pots.

Itinerary

Day 1- Jul 19 Sat: Begin the Journey to Mt. Rushmore

6:00 AM – Departure from Winnipeg

We start our exciting journey with an early morning departure! Assemble at the parking lot of Garden City Mall, along Mcphillips St., in front of Seafood City in Winnipeg.

Settle into your comfortable seat as we embark on our adventure.

Border Crossing

We’ll cross the Canada–US border, so please ensure your essential travel documents are ready. Take in the changing landscapes as we journey south into the United States.

11:00 – Lunch Stop in Fargo

Enjoy a relaxing lunch break at West Acres Mall, a perfect spot to stretch your legs and enjoy a delicious meal.

12:00 – Journey to Mt. Rushmore (8hrs)

After lunch, we continue our scenic drive toward Mt. Rushmore, passing through picturesque towns and stunning countryside. We will stop along the way to stretch out and go to the washroom.

8:00 PM – Arrival at Rapid City and Check-In

We’ll arrive at our hotel for the night, where you can relax and recharge for the adventures ahead. Savor a hearty meal along the way as we approach our destination, a delightful end to a day of travel and exploration.

Day 2- Jul 20 Sun: Exploring Mt. Rushmore and Journey to Buffalo, Wyoming

6:00 AM – Breakfast and Departure

Start the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, we’ll check out and board the bus to head toward the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help where we will attend Mass at 8:00 AM.

After the Mass we will start our visit to the awe-inspiring Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

Spend the whole morning exploring the iconic Mt. Rushmore, a masterpiece of American history and culture. Take in the breathtaking scenery and learn about the fascinating stories behind this national treasure.

12:00 PM – Lunch at Carvers’ Café at Mt. Rushmore

In the afternoon, along the way to Buffalo City, we will explore Devils Tower National Monument, a unique, towering rock formation in northeastern Wyoming, known for its striking appearance and cultural significance as the first U.S. national monument, established in 1906.

Continue to Buffalo, Wyoming ( 4 hrs from Rapid City)

As the afternoon winds down, we’ll board the bus and continue our scenic journey toward Buffalo, Wyoming.

Dinner and Hotel Check-In

Arrive in Buffalo, where we’ll enjoy a delightful dinner at a local restaurant.

After dinner, we’ll check in at the Hotel, your cozy retreat for the night, providing comfort and relaxation after an eventful day.

Day 3- Jul 21 Mon: Exploring the Wonders of Yellowstone

6:00 AM – Breakfast and Departure (6.5 hrs)

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before we check out and set off on our journey to the majestic Yellowstone National Park.

Stop at “Mobil Gas / Good 2 Go” Gas station for washroom and food at: 1200 17th St, Cody, WY 82414, United States

1:30 PM – Arrival and Exploration (Late lunch at Lower River falls restaurants)

Arrive at Yellowstone in the afternoon, ready to dive into its natural splendor. Without wasting a moment, we’ll explore some of the park’s most iconic spots:

Lower Yellowstone River Falls: Marvel at the thunderous beauty of this iconic waterfall within the breathtaking Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

Hayden Valley: A wildlife enthusiast’s paradise, offering a chance to spot bison, elk, and even bears amidst sweeping landscapes.

Mammoth Hot Springs: Witness unique, terraced geothermal formations that are as surreal as they are beautiful.

6:00 PM – Dinner and Check-In

Enjoy a delightful dinner at Gardiner, soaking in the atmosphere of this world-famous destination.

After dinner, we’ll head to the hotel, where you can relax and recharge for another day of adventure.

Day 4- Jul 22 Tues: Discovering Yellowstone and Journey to Miles City

6:00 AM – Breakfast and Departure

Start the day with a satisfying breakfast at the hotel before checking out and heading out to continue our unforgettable tour of Yellowstone National Park.

We will stop at Yellowstone Arch for picture taking.

Iconic Yellowstone Highlights

Immerse yourself in the park’s breathtaking geothermal wonders and historic landmarks:

Fountain Paint Pot: Experience bubbling mud pots and colorful hot springs in this unique geothermal area.

Grand Prismatic Spring: Marvel at the vibrant hues of Yellowstone’s largest and most spectacular hot spring.

Old Faithful Geyser: Witness the park’s most famous geyser as it erupts with precision and power.

12:00 PM – Lunch at Old Faithful Lodge Cafeteria & Bake Shop / Departing Yellowstone to Montana (6 hrs)

Late in the afternoon, we bid farewell to Yellowstone and begin our scenic drive toward Miles City, Montana.

7:00 PM – Dinner and Check-In

Arrive in Miles City and enjoy a hearty dinner at a local restaurant.

Conclude the day with a comfortable stay at the Hotel, where you can rest and reflect on the incredible sights of the day.

Day 5- Jul 23 Wed: Journey Home to Winnipeg

6:00 AM – Breakfast and Departure

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel to energize for the final leg of our journey. After breakfast, we’ll check out and board the bus for our drive back to Winnipeg.
